Membuat Hiren’s Boot CD dari Flashdisk

Bagi Anda yang gemar mengutak-atik komputer, tentu sudah tidak asing lagi dengan Hiren’s Boot CD kan? Sebuah CD dengan segudang tools canggih. Mulai dari partisi, cloning harddisk, antivirus, perangkat recovery data, perangkat test, perangkat harddisk, perangkat sistem informasi, MBR dan masih banyak lagi. Karena software yang ada di dalamnya komplit, simpel dan mudah dioperasikan, Hiren’s banyak diminati untuk melakukan reparasi dan recovery.
Seorang teman berhasil menggunakan salah satu software yang ada di dalam Hiren’s untuk mengembalikan backup data dan Instalasi sistem operasi komputernya. Bahkan seorang teman yang lain punya pengalaman mengembalikan data yang hilang di harddisk yang sudah diformat ulang!
Yang jelas CD ini menggunakan emulasi floppy drive –yang sekarang sudah sangat langka– sehingga bisa digunakan untuk booting sebagai pengganti StartUp disk di Windows 98. Belakangan bahkan kita bisa kita bisa masukkan Hiren’s Boot CD berikut tools pentingnya ke dalam sebuah Flashdisk booting bisa dilakukan lewat UFD kesayangan kita. Ingin tahu caranya? ikuti langkah berikut ini..
Langkah 1
Download boot-files.zip (55kb)yang merupakan file ISO berisi file sistem DOS yang akan kita pakai untuk melakukan booting. Ekstrak dan baca panduannya dalam Baca Dulu.txt.
Langkah 2
Download HPUSBFW.zip (368kb), tool untuk memformat USB Flashdisk.
Siapkan USB Flashdisk Anda kemudian jalankan file yang barusan Anda download sehingga tampak seperti gambar di bawah. Perhatikan bagian yang ditandai warna hijau.
Langkah 3
Copy semua file dari C:USB ke USB Flashdisk Anda.
CATATAN:
- Jangan timpa file IO.SYS ketika ada konfirmasi.
- Hapus file JO.SYS dari USB Flashdisk (hati-hati, jangan keliru dengan IO.SYS)
- Beberapa Antivirus bereaksi ketika sistem mengkopi file Vdefs di-copy ke flashdisk. Abaikan saja, file ini merupakan file salah satu antivirus-dos dari beberapa Antivirus dalam Hiren’s.
Langkah 4
Buka Explorer. Masukkan CD Hiren’s ke Drive, kemudian copy semua yang ada dalam folder BOOTCD ke dalam USB Flashdisk Anda.
Langkah 5
Tes Flashdisk Hiren’s Anda. Pastikan Anda sudah set booting Komputer Anda dari USB Flashdisk.
Untuk masuk ke dalam BIOS, tekan tombol “DEL”. Atau mungkin dengan menekan tombol lain seperti “F1″, “F2″, tombol “Insert” atau “F10″. Tombol untuk masuk BIOS di masing-masing komputer mungkin berbeda. Biasanya komputer akan menampilkan pesan seperti
“Press [Del] to enter Setup”
untuk memberitahukan bahwa Anda perlu menekan tombol “Del”.
Beberapa BIOS dari AMI perlu melakukan perubahan pilihan “USB Keyboard Legacy support” > Enable. Lakukan dengan cara sebagai berikut:
Untuk AMI BIOS
- Masuk ke “Feature Setup“. Ubah menjadi “Enable” beberapa pilihan berikut:
“USB Function Support”, “USB Function For DOS“, “ThumbDrive for DOS”.
Masuk ke “Advanced Setup“. Pilih “1st Boot Device” menjadi “USB RMD-FDD“.
Restart komputer dan seharusnya Anda sudah bisa booting dari USB Flashdisk - Masuk ke “USB Mass Storage Device Configuration“. Pada “Emulation Type”
pilih “Harddisk“. Masuk “Boot Menu” dan tentukan “1st boot device” menjadi “USB-Stick“. Keluar dari BIOS, Simpan Perubahan.
Anda dapat juga mencoba “Emulation Type” menjadi “Floppy” atau “Forced FDD“.
Untuk PHOENIX/AWARD BIOS:
Masuk ke “Advanced BIOS Features”. Pada “1st Boot device” Pilih “USB-ZIP”.
TROUBLESHOOT
- Panduan ini terbukti berhasil lancar pada penggunaan Hiren’s Boot CD versi 9.6 dan sebelumnya. Untuk Hiren’s 9.7 dan sesudahnya tidak otomatis bisa berhasil karena perlu penanganan khusus. Silakan tunggu update untuk soal ini..
- Jika Anda mengalami masalah ketika Hiren’s membuat Ram Drive maka mungkin Anda perlu mengubah dan baris “/numhandles=128” dalam “config.sys“
- Beberapa rekan mengabarkan bahwa Hiren’s bisa berjalan lancar pada USB Flashdisk kecil (128MB) namun seringkali bermasalah pada Flashdisk berukuran 512 ke atas. Biasanya ditandai dengan adanya kursor berkedip-kedip pada pojok kiri atas monitor.
- Jika Anda mengalami kursor blinking, cobalah memformat Flashdisk Anda dengan FAT32.
- Jika Anda mendapat pesan error bahwa command.com tidak ditemukan saat USB Flashdisk dijalankan, ketik baris perintah dibawah dari Command Prompt Windows
“attrib -s -h E:command.com” dimana E adalah kode huruf drive USB Flashdisk Anda.

Lha julas itu..
Ketika Anda copy file dan folder dari cd Hiren’s ke komputer, secara tidak sadar Anda telah mengubah struktur bootable CD. Sebenarnya ada cara agar Anda tetep bisa burning file yang sudah Anda pindah ke komputer tersebut.
Langkahnya kurang lebih Anda ‘buat CD hirens baru’ dengan menambahkan floppy boot files. Cara ini mirip dengan langkah membuat CD untuk mengupdate BIOS.
Tapi berhubung langkahnya sedikit lebih rumit daripada download file image baru. Saya sarankan Anda download hiren’s 9.7 saja

Hiren’s.BootCD.iso yang harus di kopi ke BootUSB yang mana. apa harus buat sendiri. trs cara nya gmn? soalnya pas waktu jalan kan Boot_Files_ID.cmd keluar tulisan Hiren’s.BootCD.iso tidak di temukan dalam folder ini. mohon bantuan nya…… thanks

Hiren’s Boot CD ISO nya dikopi ke dalam folder yang sama dengan hasil ekstrak boot-files.zip. Tempatkan dalam level yang sama dengan file Baca Dulu Ya!.txt dkk.
Sekedar catatan Hiren’s yang mendukung cara ini menurut pengalaman saya maksimal sampe Hiren 9.6. Hiren’s 9.7 memiliki struktur yang berbeda, sehingga harus ada sedikit perubahan. I’m workin’ on it.

Harap perhatikan kembali CD Hiren yang Anda gunakan. Seperti saya sebutkan pada comment di atas, Hiren 9.7 belum mendukung booting dari Flashdisk. Saya belum bisa kasih update nya. Harap bersabar ya..
Jika Anda perlu segera memperbaiki komputer, saya sarankan Anda gunakan Hiren’s Boot CD versi sebelumnya. Versi hiren hingga 9.6 bisa dibuat booting via flashdisk.
Soal patches saya belum bisa menangkap maksud Anda. Kalo link program2 diatas (untuk kepentingan membuat flashdisk berisi Hiren bisa booting). Sudah saya cek kembali dan baik2 saja. Tidak perlu program torrent.

itu hiren’s dah sebendel didownloadnya.. coba extract readme nya.. distu da keterangan cara patchingnya ya kan…. klo yang masih mentah harus di patch keyboard gitu… tapi ada juga yang udah di patch… tinggal pake.. “”Hiren’s.BootCD.9.6.US.patch.iso”" contoh ayng dipatch pake US keyboard.. burning dulu tapinya pake iso burn… klo booting pake usb kayanya kurang afdhol menurut saya… dari namanya aja hiren’s “boot”CD” ma’aph……!!!

Instalasi OS Windows lewat flashdisk memerlukan langkah yang sedikit berbeda. Oleh karenanya akan lebih baik jika kita bahas di thread yang berikutnya..
Tapi sekedar informasi, di Hiren’s Boot USB sendiri sudah ada OS Windows MiniXP lho bang..

Saya ingin membuat Live Windows XP dlm USB HDD 250GB guna keperluan support troubleshoot PC.
Yang saya inginkan adalah sbb:
1. USB HDD terbagi 2 partisi (Live Windows XP dan Data/Software Installer)
2. Dalam Live Windows XP akan saya buat Shortcut2 penting yang mengacu pada lokasi Data/Software Installer. Misalkan shortcut ‘Setup Windows XP’ dimana lokasi source berada pada partisi Data/Software Installer.
3. Partisi Data/Software Installer bisa di buat fixed drive letter. Misalkan Live Windows XP di kenal sbg drive X, sedangkan partisi yang lain menjadi drive Z.
Apakah hal ini mungkin bisa dibuat?

Di luar soal Lisensi dan hak cipta, Logikanya bisa, gan. Mungkin nanti butuh program pihak ketiga seperti Bartpe

- Hiren’s boot UFD itu dibuat dengan konten dari CD Hiren’s Boot CD itu berisi tool2 untuk melakukan reparasi. Paket programnya sudah ada dan lengkap, tinggal pake.
- mini PE tu Windows mini yang bisa kita tambahin berbagai program yang kita butuhkan. Kita harus milih dan nambah sendiri masing-masing program.
